Who We Are
A mission-driven organization dedicated to bridging the gender gap within the field of Interventional Radiology, a specialty in which women are significantly underrepresented. According to the AAMC’s 2021 Physician Specialty Data Report, women account for merely 10% of active physicians within the specialty of vascular and interventional radiology.
What We Do
Partner with medical schools and residency programs across the country to host comprehensive one-day events aimed at providing students with invaluable exposure to the field of interventional radiology. These events include educational presentations covering a myriad of topics pertinent to women in medicine and IR. Furthermore, participants have the opportunity to network with accomplished women resident, fellow, and attending physicians, while participating in immersive hands-on activities facilitated by radiology departments and industry leaders.
